From the start and to this day,
DFW Shade Shop has been an unstoppable mother-daughter operation.

DFW Shade Shop began in 1998, when Shannon Ralls started selling and installing blinds. She learned the technique and the business from her mother, Sheri, who hand-made drapery under the business name Special Touches.

 

Over 25 years later, DFW Shade Shop is still thriving and growing, owned and operated by Shannon, and now joined by her daughters Breanna and Skylar. Shannon, Breanna, and Skylar have expanded the business in order to cater to the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and beyond, including our sister business NWA Shade Shop in Northwest Arkansas. We also frequently partner with Holly Henderson Designs for beautiful custom drapery, Oak & Iron Interiors for interior design (Prosper/Frisco area), and Lindsey Mathias Design for interior design (Dallas Proper).

 

Over the years, Shannon has established close-knit relationships with manufacturers to ensure she is selling the best quality product. DFW Shade Shop is proud partners with Exus Shutters, Pro Design, and Universal Screens.

In her free time, Shannon stays busy taking care of her four daughters as well as her fur children, painting, practicing yoga, gardening and cooking.
